Default big bore kit

am interested in putting big bore kit on my 01 yz 250. anyone tried it is it worth the money.

You will need porting to at least restore port timing and head mods to get the most out of the big bore, but if done right they are worth it.

The YZ ( even an '01 ) puts out more power than most riders can use. Unless you are an upper Int. or expert rider, on the rev limiter all the time and still needing more, I would leave it stock. Put your money into suspension mods, or use it to just keep the motor fresh. A fresh stock YZ will beat a modded one that has seen some time on it.
