Default CRF150R throttle sticks & won't idle

New bike--08 CRF150R Expert--all desert trail riding, lots of dust. Last few rides throttle was sticking; guys exposed cable and removed clump of dirt. Would start but didn't want to idle. Throttle still stuck one more time during ride. Turned bike off once during ride and didn't want to idle again. Assume need pro check-up/full throttle clean and *WHAT* for the idle?! Prefer not messing with carb--bike runs great otherwise!

Make sure cables are clean and not kinking in the routing. That throttle has a push pull system, make sure both are adjusted correctly and not fouling each other. Make sure the hot start cable is not too tight. Note also that after a hot ride it will idle up higher. Pull the air filter, if you have dust in the intake boot, it may have sucked it into the carb, thus sticking the slide. Hopefully you did not suck dirt into the carb. Other bad things can happen. Use a good filter oil too, and not the spray on kind. Maxima FFT is a good oil for desert conditions. Also seal the filter base w/ grease.
Oh, and welcome!! I have a 150R too. Nice bikes.
