| Howdy, new to the site, but not new to forums. I currently own a 97 300ex, was recently traded along with a truck to me for a nice 88 Honda Prelude. The 300ex is a great quad, but it's sort of a small quad for my size and stature, im 6'5 255 lbs. I've recently put an add on Craigslist to trade my honda for a dirt bike. I was offered a 91 RM 250 with wiseco piston and recently rebuilt top and bottom end. Im not very familiar with Suzuki dirt bikes, or suzuki's period, i was curious if any of you guys have owned a 91 RM 250. I was also hoping you guys could give me some more info on the dirt bike, as far as aftermarket parts and availability go, not to mention how the bike stacks up to the Yamaha's and Honda's, also i'd like to know how the bike stacks up technology wise and frame wise to the newer dirt bikes . Heres a few pictures of the Dirt Bike : |

| Oh ok, good info thanks. As far as the technology goes on the bike, how does it compare to the newer dirtbikes ? Are they relatively the same today as they were in the late 80's/early 90's, or are they inferior compared to the new bikes ? |

| the biggest difference is in the chassis. that bike will not handle anything like the new bikes, the suspension is probably the biggest difference. back to back, that bike would feel like a tank compared to a new one, probably the only comparable thing performance wise would be the motor. If he doesn't have receipts for the engine rebuild then I wouldn't even consider it. if I were you, I'd sell the 300ex and save for something this side of the millenium. shouldn't take more than $1500-2000 to find a clean 2000 and up 250 two stroke
