Default SP200 no spark please help

My sister recently gave me her 1986 SP200 with only 3900 miles on it. She told me the last time it was used it was working perfectly but now it has no spark at all. I have checked and rechecked everything. Magneto checks ok, pickup checks ok, new coil, new cdi, new ignition switch, new kill switch. I don't know what else to check. I have the factory service manual and have done everything it says, still no spark. I am about to pull my hair out and would really like to ride this bike. I have spent many hours at my sisters house riding this bike and look forward to it again so any new ideas would be much appriciated. thanks.

yeah that was the first thing i tried, then the coil. I have two coils and they both meg out ok. So I have tried to swap between the two but with no luck. Everything the service manual says to meg out is right in the middle of the range it says is ok. The service manual says if the coil, plug, magneto and pick up coil all meg out ok then replace the CDI unit. I now have 3 CDI's, the original, a used one and now a brand new one. What else is there? All lights work perfectly, fuse is ok. The bike was working fine the last time it was riden, then it was parked for a few months and the next time out it would not start, with no spark. All wires leading to the respective parts are in perfect condition, no dry rot or shorts. help

Default fixed no spark problem

well i finally got a new stator in, took over a month on back order. installed and the bike worked great for 2 days now it wont start. its not the same problem, it has spark just now it seems to not be getting gas. i took the carb out and soaked it over night and put it back together. no luck. oh well i will keep tinkering with it probably something stupid. was fun while it lasted tho

Default weird

ok i was mistaken on the last thread. It is getting gas just not spark. its odd really. like i said before it worked great for 2 days then over night something happened. when i kick the starter, no spark, but when i manually turn the magneto backward ,with my hand, over the pickup coil i get a nice fat spark. so for some reason it is sparking in reverse but not in the normal rotational direction. doesnt make sense to me, i only have to move the magneto like an inch or two backward to make the spark plug spark. how is this posible? should it not spark in both directions really. I would think if it works on way it should work the other. any ideas people?
