Talking What type?

Should I get a 4-stroke or a 2-stroke? I am used to riding somewhat technical terrain and trails. I was looking at the KTM 125 SX but am not sure what is best.

For pure trail riding I would get a 4 stroke. If you are going to do some track days then a 2 stroke might be better.

if you're riding trails don't get a 125, unless you really like feathering the clutch

ktm 200's are widely recognised as The bike to have in the woods, especially tight technical trails.

personally though i would go with a 250 fourstroke- any of the big four's 250f motocross bikes make excellent trail bikes because of the low end torque that a 2 stroke, Any 2 stroke short of a 500, just doesn't have. This makes them exceptionally well mannered both in the woods and on the track

pick an orange one, doesnt really matter which one, just orange, they are hands down the best trail bikes made today, even their 2 strokes can perform in the woods very well. my recommendation would be a 250 XC-W

I ride a 400SXC, its freakin awesome.

Both the 2-4 stroke have proven themselves as a great woods weapon,KDX
XR,,EXC,MXC, The deciding factor for me would be parts availability, cost and
maintence, also I would'nt purchase a new bike without knowing that the
dealer has only trained technicians working in the service department.
