|  ATV Help..Honda Foreman Fourtrax 4x4 year??86-89?
Hello. I have just started refurbishing our old Honda Foreman Fourtrax 4x4 ATV which has been sitting for about a year and need any and all good assistance with info regarding specs, etc. I just got it fired up which utterly amazed me since it has been sitting for some time (since 12 yr old son tried to work on it...lol)It needs a lot of body work, son cut off fenders due to brake hanging, preventing it from running properly....I need pretty much complete body and seat!It hasn't really been run in about 3 years but prior to that and my divorce had always been serviced and taken care of....Operation wise I believe it to be in great shape with the exception of any items that go down over time from sitting and moisture, etc. Looks like crap from child destruction...but that's just cosmetics and will work on that last after I'm sure I can get it running properly. But first, since I am single and trying to do this on shoestring budget, I need to know the basics of replacing, cleaning, etc. old lines hoses....Also, water, oil and other items that may need to be cleaned out or changed, etc.....Any and all good help would be greatly appreciated... Also, since I can't remember what year we got it and have none of the original papers etc., how do I find out what year it is??? Aaaaaarrrrgghhh,,,,pulling hair out now that I got it to fire right up after charging battery, applying sea foam to gas and oil and cleaning spark plug....It fired up so easily, but muffled sounding so I checked air cleaner/filter and apparently squirrels or rodent destroyed it right in box, cause in addition to all of the stuffing from the destroyed filter lying around its cylinder...there were acorns!!! Also, brake fluid and any ideas on why front brakes would hang up would be greatly appreciated...Looking everywhere for any help I can find...hoping this will be the ticket!!! Thanks! |
