Default DR650 rattle

I just bought a 04 DR650 and really like the bike. The trouble I am having is a rattle of sorts that occurs at low or mid rpm range. Its kind of a metalic sound, reminds me of a timing chain thats way out of adjustment. Just wondering if anyone else has one or has heard of this before. BTW still real new only has 220 miles on the clock. Thanks guys.

Default DR-650 Rattle

I just bought a '04 DR650 Tuesday and love it!! 180 miles so far with a similar rattle kind of like a loose exhaust coupler or something internal. Makes me feel better knowing it's not the only one.

I posted the same question on another forum and was told that the chain rollers were the culprit. Not sure if I will cahnge them out with aftermarket or not. Was told this will help. Noise is pretty annoying. I like to be able to hear the motor not the chain slapping.

I checked out the chain last night and snugged it up just a little bit and that solved the problem. No more rattle whatsoever, try it out and see how that works for you guys.
