| Hello all, I was hoping some of you might be able to provide some advice relative to purchasing a new (or used) ATV. We just moved to Colorado, and my primary reasons for wanting to buy an ATV are: 1. Plowing snow on our 300 foot driveway 2. Have fun in and around our area (don't see myself taking extended 4x4 adventures) - there are trees, hills and of course mountains nearby I called a Polaris dealer and he recommended getting at least a 400cc model. Can any of you provide some impartial advice about what to do? I am a little leery about forking over $6k+, and was hoping there was something that would get the job done for under $3k. |

| I agree with the 400+ suggestion. Pay special attention to the transmission type and suspension setup with any model. You want a machine that doesn't just spin two diagonally opposite tires, but instead transfers power to all four wheels.

| Unless you want to buy something with a lot of miles on it, your not going to find something for under $3000 that will suit your purpose. It might be cheaper for you to buy a good snow blower for the driveway, and a smaller ATV to play on. Living in Minnesota, I have had plenty of opportunities to use both a snow blower, and an ATV with a plow. Any time you have to move more than 2 inches, the snow blower works better.
