Default Any 2 stroke gurus??

Well haveing an issue that just reared its head on me yesterday on my 87 RM250 also this has been a persistant problem with my buddies 89 KX125. I was wondering if anyone is 2 troke proficient and could give me a hand figuring this problem out. I hope since both of these bikes are experiencing the same issues it is a comon problem with 2 stokes.

A little History:
The bike has been down for about a year or so I have only ridden it 3 times before the problem occurred. Also i might add the bike has all new electronics, clean carb, and just put back together after putting in new oil seals and clutch/clutch basket.

The Problem:
I was riding the bike for no more than 5 mins when she just bogged out on me, tried to restart and got it goin and with the same result, it would fire up then i would get on the throttle and it would just bog out. So i took the spark plug out and it look fouled so i replaced it with a new one in hopes to solve the problem, bike fire right up and bogged out again. I restarted it giving it 1/2 throttle and it did run for a good 5 sec but when i tried to rev the damn thing it bogged again... i did this 4 or 5 times with the same result. This is with fresh gas and the right mix BTW

Does anyone know what the hell is goin on??

it looks like the jetting is ultra-rich

here is an excellent thread i got from someone on the allthingsmoto.com forum about jetting
here

if you are just a little mechanically inclined you could probably do it yourself, or a find someone that can help you the first time. you could take it to a shop and have it done but chances this won't be the last time it needs rejetted so you might as well learn to do it yourself
