| There's a few things you could try to get it running better. It sounds like the chain may need tensioning. There will be an adjuster at the end of the swingarm for this. Tighten it until you can move the chain about 20-25 mm (3/4"-1") up and down. It's always a good idea to clean the air filter regularly. Rinse the filter out in petrol and let it dry. Then soak it in filter oil (clean engine oil will do). Also, have you taken the spark plug out and cleaned it? If the engine oil is black, then you should change that too. I'm not sure if the 125 has on oil filter or not. If it does, take it out and clean it same as the air filter. If it's still running like a pig, the next step would be to take the carb apart and clean it. Hope this helps.

| Newbie | I have a 1994 Dr 125 and have very recently started experiencing the same problem. My DR does have an oil filter. If youve had this bike for a long time and never changed it i would definetly suggest a new filter. I am hoping to fix mine soon, im gonna tale apart the carbs an stuff. Once ive fixed it ill let you know what needs to be done. Good Luck.
