|  Stator/cdi question I have a 1992 RM250 that has a bad cdi box, I know the 1992 and 93 are the same, my question is can I put a 1991 cdi box on it if I change the stator cdi and coil from a 1991? The reason I am asking is I found a 1991 setup cheap and I don't want to put $400 into a cdi on this old of a bike. Thanks for any help.

| Hello, I dont know if this will help you any at all but...on my 80 pe175 the cdi went out. i ended up with a cdi off of some other unknown bike and i put it on and figured out the wiring and it worked. i think as long as the engine displacement is close or the same it should work if you wire it right
