Question 1997 DR350se bogging I think

I have a 1997 DR350SE that has a starving for gas or boging problem. I thought it might be the carborator so I cleaned it. But it still is not gone. It starving for gas or bogs when the gas tank is less then half full. Is there any way to fix?
If so you can sned me an email at bobrules101@yahoo.com
or replie. Thanks

Sounds like vapor lock. Clean the tank vent in the cap.

I was going to say vent also, when you pull the cap do you hear an air rush sound? If so that is a plugged vent. Now does it run but just bog or does it just idle and when you give it gas in bogs and goes nowhere. A bog off idle is a pilot jet, they are so tiny they plug easy. Hope it is the vent, that is easy, and by the sound of it, at 1/2 tank it will be out of air in the tank and bog.
