Cool jr50 muffed out!

Can anyone help me with a Suzuki JR50 problem? I picked up a jr50 for my 6 y.o. last year. He loves his bike but it just lacks the power he wants and needs. Top end speed is ok for him but the low end is completely absent. I've tried to push higher Hp bikes like the KTM and LEM but he just will not part with the ZUK. I've seen threads discussing a "second gear". This is not an ave I want to travel. I've also seen threads saying that aftermarket pipe and silencer do not change the performance much. SO...if there are any TECH-SAVY folks out there that can help get me some low end grunt out of this powerless bike PLEASE feel free to jump in. I have already removed the exhaust limiter washer. I saw a tech page saying there was an intake washer as well...couldn't find one! PLEASE HELP, the bike is a 2004 jr50

Ive always heard the motor is the same one they use in a brand of scooter. I never researched it much so Im really not too sure. But, those dudes that like to trick out mopeds and stuff, wonder if they make some hop up kits for that motor. If they did, whats to stop you from using it on the little JR. Just throwing out a stupid thought.

Make sure the Washer is removed from the header pipe on the exhaust. I removed it on my sons JR and it goes much quicker.

It still doesnt give any low end. Thats what the bike is lacking. Cant take my kid on technical trails, he needs to build up speed before hitting the hills. He cant go on the ones where you turn the corner and blast straight up a muddy incline. He tries though, and with the right bike, he will have a great time.

Unless, you know of any secrets Dave? You can share, cmon.

Beinga 50 and an Auto clutch it will never have any low end. It is just not designed for that type of riding. It was designed as a Beginner/ Learning bike.

Sorry.
