Default Ideas for attaching a new spark plug wire?

I just bought a cdi box and coil for my 86 rm250 off of ebay and the spark plug wire is cut off of the coil. Is there any way to attach a new wire that will work halfway decently? I have another coil on the bike right now but im not sure what year/bike it is from (the cdi on it now is from some older bigger bore suzuki). Is there going to be much difference in the coils? or can i just use the one i already have? Any info/tips will be appreciated

I think that model coil is molded on so it shouldnt come apart. some newer ones you can unthread the actual plug wire and replace it with a new one. But in your bikes case I believe you cant do it.

As for a different coil as long as it has the same output it should work but it could be a dicey guess and result in a holed piston. Just pay and get a new one for 70 dollars.

I attached a new wire to my old coil ok, but the wire itself also gave resistance which made the total resistance even higher than the old one. My old one reads 11k ohms (the bike is supposed to have 4-7k) could it actually damage something if its over the suggested resistance?
