Question ??Power Band??

Does the Suzuki 160 Quadrunner have a powerband of some kind and if it doesn`t, can I install one myself or should a professional take care of it.

hi i'm not a quad guy but, a powerband is not a peice on your engine. it is the power curve of an engine, when you turn the throttle and you notice the machine start to accellerate really fast, in some cases wheelie(on a dirtbike at least), you have "hit powerband". so the power band is already there, it is not a "blot on" item.

I know some people who do Powerband service. It depends on where you want the power.

There are two different meanings I guess. The idea for power band is where the hp and/or torque peak. It's where your power is. This is why for most street bikes they tell you that certain engines have a power band all through out, while others have them up high in the RPM range.

@MikeFry

I believe it was a sarcastic reply to that post if youre not just trying to pull a funny one. I have to admit, the question is an honest one but made me laugh. Sorry I had to do it on Pieter's account.
