Default RM250 oil question

On my 1992 RM250 there is no oil site glass...how do you know how much oil to put in crankcase? it says 650ml on cover...is that how much to put in? Just about 3/4 quart of oil? Is 10w30 good oil to use?

Thanks.

There is a bolt or allen head bolt that you remove, make sure that the bike is level, the oil will run out when there is enough.

Yes 650ml is the amount.

10-30 is good, but there is a specific oil for 2-stroke gear boxes. It should say on the oil jug.

HAPPY NEWYEAR!

If you look at the front sproket, it is at about the 8:00 position, should be an allenhead, I think the rest are 8mm.

When you take it out it is around a half inch in length.
