Default 1990 rm250 vs 2005 rm250?

I am considering getting a newer bike.....how much of a difference is there between 15 years?

Light years appart!!!!!!!

I owned and raced a 2000 RM250 with all sorts of motor work and it really was a great machiine. then I went out and purchased an 02 RM250 which bone stock would blow the doors off my 2000 RM250. I was shocked that the motor was so much stronger. As for the chassis the 02 was a bit better than my 2000 in a tight corner and overall just a more refined package. If you are just out trail riding than it wont matter as the older bikes are just as much fun. But if you are going to be competeing then go with the new one.

I agree with Dave2122. I had a 99 and just bought an 03. The motor on the 03 is so much better than the 99. It comes on strong in the low end like a four stroke. No doubt a much easier machine to go fast on.
