Default Removing steering stem ?

How do I get the steering stem out of the bottom triple clamp? I want to reinstall it into a Universal Radius triple clamp. The one that is on the Universal clamp is too short. Thanks!

I hate to be the one to tell you but if your stem on the universal setup is the wrong length then you need to call ECC and get them to send you the correct one for your bike. The stock stemm is not the way to fix the problem.

I guess you're saying I can't press the stock stem into the Universal.

Thanks, and I'll make a few calls.

Yes that is exactly what I am saying. The amount of stress placed on that stem is tremndous. Even if it fit right into the new clamps, if something should happen you could get killed. Better safe than sorry right?
