Default Talimena Scenic Drive

Has anyone here taken the Talimena ride? We are going to take the ride October 1. Just wanted to get aa feel for what it was like. (and yes I did Google it)

Yes I have ridden it two times this year. It is quite a experience. I am trying to put a group together to ride it again around the time you are suggesting. May be we could hook up.

We will be leaving Dallas at 8:30 should arive in Talihina Around 12:30. There will be over 60 bikes. I'll be easy to spot my bike is the purdiest and there will be a crowd around it. (he he he)

It's just south of me....October 1st eh? I have a buddy that rides it alot, guess I'll have to hook up with him and ride it....small world.

It will be a little out of your way but I could hook up with you where Oklahoma 266 crosses I-40. Just a thought.

My brother in law is currently bikeless, and rode mine this weekend. Now he's got the bug, so who knows. Anyway, he brought up riding down there this fall when the leaves change. Sounds like fun, if a guy can find time. Pretty busy these days, but I bet it would be a beautiful ride.

It'd be cool if you Tulsa guys could head east and meet in Poteau maybe, then head to Talihina....kind of a stretch, but would be a nice ride to meet up sometime...

The savage is a good bike and easy to work on but I am in need of a tour bike so we will see what happens

My in laws live in Owasso...well mother in law, pops passed away in April...they lived in some apartments off 98th I think.

I am going to be pretty much with a group until we hit talimina the we are on our own until we get to Mena Ar. where we are spinding the night. Leve ther in the morning to go to Hatfield Ar. (hope they don't find out I'm a Mc Coy). The we come home. 550 mi. Sore rear here I come!
