Default Howdy! new guy on board

Well, I am the new guy, Raider1 I am a paramedic in NC and new to riding. Well, new as far as owning a bike, have ridden before on friends bikes, but just signed the paperwork Friday for my own 2002 Volusia 800. Now, I gotta get my bucket and leathers, seems my old leathers shrunk over the years, lol. That, or I am just not a 19yo kid anymore, but a 32 yo vet, lol. About my bike, it's a Volusia 800 with a Black and blue metallic paint, Suzuki Volusia saddle bags, windshield, and floorboards. the bike is in great shape, and I know the current owner very well, I work with him. He is getting a new bike, a Suzuki 1500 LC and really wishes his wife would learn to ride so they could keep the bike in the family. Her loss, my gain. I hope to learn a lot from ya'll and wish ya'll safe riding weather and no bugs. See ya around!

Default Wecome to Suzuki-Bikes.com

Congrats on the bike Raider1. I ride a Intruder VS800. Nice bikes. In Mytle beach you could check out Jammin Leather. They will size your stuff to you and adjust and alter what you need to fit you perfectly, if you go to the store. Also if your old leather is close but too small you could use leather stretch. You may have to get if from a tanning, leather, or taxidermy shop. I will be crusing to Myrtle Beach in May and in June I will be crusing through NC going to FL and back. Wish you much joy with your ride.

Default Thanks for the Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome guys, I appreciate it. And I will have to check out the Jammin Leathers, most definitely when I am down at the beach again. Unfortunately, I don't think I can stretch my riding jacket as I am currently at 200 lbs and i was at 165 when I bought the coat, lol. I mean you can stretch leather only so far, lol . Hope to see ya when ya come down this way. Catch ya later!
