Default Installing GIVI E41 bags on a Volusia

Well, I know it's weird, but I really like the GIVI E41 bags (they're huge and waterproof and well-made). I would like to attach them to my Volusia, but of course I'm the only one, or something.

I have seen this bracket for a different model Suzuki:

And I have heard of an owner putting EasyBrackets on his E21 bags (much smaller bags, so I wonder about weight etc).

I love the idea of EasyBrackets, but maybe I need to get a robust solution. And how does everyone go about customizing these things if you don't own a welding rig?

Default OK....

I don't meen to sound stupid, but I actualy thought the Marauder and the Volucia had the same mounting brackets. I know other hard bag companies make a hard bag that they say will mount on either Marauder of Volucia. That is why I was under the inpression they had the same mounting fixture. Here I am guilty of assuming too much.
I could only suggest become freindly with a shop with the welder you need. Some times if you are willing to show up and help out, they will let you use their equipment. I have done work at a shop for time on their equipment before. They get some one to clean up the shop and I get what I need. The age old barter system does still work.

You don't sound stupid at all. I think for soft bags, the mounting is the same for many of the models. GIVI E41s are quite large and perhaps need more stabilization, so they have 3 mounting points on the bike for the bracket.

Does anyone know the geometry of the Volusia versus the Marauder 800 (or LC I suppose) mounting points (two on fender, one at passenger footpeg). My dealer isn't helping.

EDIT: Well, after asking around alot, I was told GIVI is not the answer, but that both Hepco & Becker and Krauser make mounts for Volusia, and good quality bags. So, I went with H&B.
