| is the warrenty really void if not done? it just bothers me that they charge for this service even when the bike is bumper to bumper for 12 months? How you all feel about this? thanks

| It must be done. The fact that you're charged for it is probably because the cost of service in different markets differs. As such, for Suzuki to just "throw it in" would hurt certain dealers. Or hurt the bike buyers by making them pay for it in the base price of the bike. Or hurt the "mechanically inclined" by forcing them to pay for something they have the skills/tools/facility to do themselves.

You can buy a lot of tools and a manual for what you'd pay to have an underpaid, disgruntled 19 year old service your bike at your dealer. If at any time in the future, your dealer tries to deny you warranty service on a bike that you have done your own servicing over, report him to the corporation.
