|  First Bike - Corotion? Washing techniques? Help!
Hey all, I recently bought a 1986 suzuki savage, it is my fisrt bike and I am super excited. I have a few questions about it, and general motorcycling, I was hoping could be answered. 1. A small draw back but nothing major in the savage I bought is corosion on the parts that are metal, but not chrome. The chrome is in great shape, but the bare metal (not painted) other than that has some corosion. Is there some technique to eliminating this? Steel brush? Maybe some kind of chemical (CLR?). I wil try to include a picture later today. 2. Are there any recommended upgrades? I may want to replace the exhaust, so what are my options for this bike? 3. What is the best Bike washing soap, and should I be waxing/polishing? Thanks for all your help, JoDoin  |
