Hey that's awesome! I hope that is something that works out for ya. When I spotted the ad, I wasn't sure if that would be useful to you or not. The wording kinda implies that there is a common problem with that bike....

However, I didn't bring it up before, 'cause I knew you had a minor little deal there a while back that could have affected many different parts of your suspension or geometry.

If anything....you can be rest assured that the part is probably a unique piece that you won't see on every other bike out there!

I would say that Suzuki knowns a lot more about what is the best tire pressure for their bikes than the local mechanic but it's your decision in the end.

Yeah,, I asked him about that,,one thing I am not sure about in regards to the air pressure,,,it doesn't change whether you are one up or two up??? It stays 29 psi front and 36 psi in the rear. I will have to say though the handling ability seems alot more agile in the twisties with the higher air pressure. I am wondering if Suzuki has the lower air pressure to compensate for the flex of the forks and to cushion the ride.

If anyone has experimented in the past with their 1500's I'd be interested in finding out their results with handling and tire wear.

I will hope that the improvements will make my 1500 a mean lean twisty machine!!!! or should I say a non-twisty machine.

Couldn't agree with you more.

The jackassed tech that prepped my bike for delivery filled the tires to 47 lbs.

I checked the book and the sticker on the driveshaft, and adjusted downward.

When I called the dealership, I was told this story. "Oh, the tech is used to prepping tires for sport-bikes, and he just assumed since they were tubeless tires that they would take 47 lbs."

"Assumed" is the key word here...and they are the ones that receive "factory" training?

Have you tried the new tires at the lower pressure? It might just be the new tires that are handling better and have little to do with the pressure. It's also possible for too high of a tire pressure to reduce your contact patch size which means that your tires would break free quicker on a hard turn. Of course with a cruiser you're going to be scraping your pegs well before then so that's not much of a concern. It could however make your tires skid sooner if you have to brake hard.

I always wondered about the one up verses two up as well. But they do list both so it's not like they didn't have a place to put down different numbers. They just list the same numbers twice.

Hmmmmmmm,,,,might have to drop it down to 30 psi to see what it does,,they are at 32 right now,,it says 29 psi,,so maybe 30 or 31 and see..... too many decisions.

Yep,,,got my new saddlebags,,the other is supposed to be here today (the brace kit),, I also will be getting the "Special Package" today or Monday.

Oh by the way,,90% of that wobble went away with the new tire,,so maybe this brace will eliminate even more. I will give ya details when I get it on and give it a hundred mile road test,,true test will be the twisties!!!!!

Yeah that brace was only a hunski plus shipping. Not a bad price. Even if it doesn't work as advertised, it is still a unique piece to have on the scoot. However, I'd have to believe it works. You're bracing the forks. Apparently, that's a problem with that model bike?

Uhhh....the "X" factor package......Will that be a straightforward install, or do you have to do a little Imagineering?

The "X" factor will be a pretty much straightforward thing,,,had to order a set of straight thru baffles from Hard Krome,,,and then the others will work,,the "X" is supposed to ship yesterday,,the Hard Krome parts will ship next week sometime,,once I get the two components,,I will assemble them and then install them,,,project "Super Intruder" is in the works!!!!!

You would think Ford would know about air pressure in there SUV's. I would the the tire pressure marked on the tire would be the perferred pressure. i know each bike, car, truck, suv, has different wieght's etc but i would think tires are designed for certian pressure to make sure proper contact with the road etc....

ARRRGGHHHH,,,my life is a sh*t sandwich,,everyday I take another bite out of it!!!!! I installed the front brace today,,well actually last night since my date fell through,,,but I took it out his morning ready to feel the difference in the handling,,,it shakes worse than before. I took it back off and now it still shakes,,,, I wonder if the forks are loose or that steering head bearing is bad,,,the dealer cannot blame the tire now,,I just spent almost $175.00 on a new tire and installation.

So I got to break in my new trailer today,,loaded the bike up,,hauled it to the shop,,dropped it off and told them I need it fixed,,better not get a call saying they canot find the problem.

Another thing I noticed,,I was not getting any waves while trailering my bike,,,they all looked at me like I was on crack!!!!!

Well not saying anything bad about the brace,,I honestly think something else is way out of whack,,will keep ya posted.....

I thought you just took a couple of rides and every thing was fine.
I know you have been playing with the airpressure, what else did you do?
Besides p**s off the Suki Gods.
Did I not see trappercase's little girl on a PINK 2 Wheeler?
Perhaps this forum should take up a donation and buy you one.
Either that or have Sunny come out and look after you.
