Default Bringing a 36 year old bike back from the dead!!!

Ok,,, here it is,, I have this 1969 Honda Dream CB160 that I tore apart back some 18 years ago. It has been sitting in the back of the basement with the engine separated from the frame ever since. Stored inside with the only weather being what it was subjected to from 1969 to 1987.

I have this wild hair,, I want to put those 161cc's back on the road. I think I want to restore that old bike for two reasons. My grandfather had one just like it,,and this one was my dads and his brothers. I am planning on sending it to my friends house where he will restore it and then bring it home to surprise my dad and his brother.

Does anyone know where I can get a rebuild manual for the bike and does anyone know of a company that sells rebuild kits for that engine and the carbs? If I can get this stuff then re-painting it will be a walk in the park. I even think I have a lead on someone who can re-chrome the chrome stuff on that bike.

What do you all think,, good idea? I haven't seen another bike like that in many many many years,, I think it would be a cool conversation piece and maybe a testament to the Metric bikes.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.-- I still am a Zuke by heart and my 1500LC is still my favorite!!!!
