Cool Modify the seat on LS-650

I want the seat on my LS-650 Savage to be higher overall. Its front end is especially too low. I find myself slipping forward, which takes me too close to the tank for comfort.

I saw a picture of a Savage that has a strap-on seat booster of some sort. Anybody know if that works well.

I bought a couple of copper plumbing fittings, coupled with longer bolts, that I think might work as shims to bring up the front of the stock seat, but I am still fiddeling around to get them to fit securely.

Are any tried and true fixes available? Alternate seats?

Thank you.
