Man this is an old thread! Blackie has 20,000 km's now.
This must be a thread revival record of some sort.

26,000 kms or 16,000 miles.

And I still would chose my C50SE.

I had the same doubt when I was planning to buy a bike 3 months ago.... I decided for the M50 because his 150 cc plus, water cooled and fuel injection. Beside I like more his style than the Vstar.....
Here in Mexico, the Vstar is 1,000 usd more than M50......

Default Both in the family

Sister has the V star - I have the M50

I think they are both good bikes.
The V Star lacks something - cant put my finger on it - (power?)
The M50 seems to have just a bit more in each dept.

The V star definitely has the best seat!

They both could do with another gear!

The pegs on the V star seemed to be in the wrong position - but I guiess you get used to them.

Performance wise, the M50 is more comparable to the V-Star 1100 than the 650.
