Default Saddlebag Problems

I just bought some "Lightning Performance Products" saddlebag brackets and am trying to attach them to my 04 Volusia. They line up and everything but by the time I put them on along with my "sissy bar" ( Mapam ) bracket it just seems to me that they will stick out too far.

Does anybody know if mixing products like this is a problem. Should I have tried to find a Mapam saddlebag bracket to make sure everything fits better.

I'm sure I can ram it together, but like I say, it just doesn't look right". I put a pic of the Mapam sissy bar and here is a link to a pic of the brackets.

Or, if anybody can post some pics of how far their saddlebags stand out from the fender, that would help too.
