|  1000 miles-WOW!
I was on a mountain road in the backwoods forest area here in Oregon. I just stopped at a stop sign and the odometer read 1000.1 miles. I turned onto a straightaway and open the throttle all the way-WOW! I had no idea how much I had been babying this bike for break-in! It goes like a rocket. I truly don't believe I have had it over half throttle ever. I have most likely red lined it, but never using more than half throttle. I did not realize how far you have to turn the throttle to get full throttle! You really have to shift fast when you crank the throttle in each gear. From 60 to 80 in 5th gear takes a little less than 4 seconds. I know there are bikes that are much faster but I thought there wasn't much left in this bike and certainly not enough to give me a scare! It's finally broken-in. It's like having a new bike all over again! |
