| Hi everyone, I'm new here and to stret bikes in general. Plenty of experience in the dirt... I'm getting ready to buy my first street bike and have pretty much settled on the C50. Can anyone give me an indication what I should expect to pay for a new one? I was at a dealer a few minutes ago who was simply quoting MSRP. He said that the C50 was the hottest selling bike in its class. This could be the reason they're not coming down from MSRP, but I don't know...Can anyone give me a litle advice? Thanks |

| I bought the first C50 in my area, at the end of July '04. The dealer gave me a price of $6099 for my Blue / Black C50 - and no add on fees. Now we are at the end of the '05 model year. Another local dealer had an open house last weekend with all '05 models at $1 over invoice. Check prices on www.cycletrader.com. Many dealers sell the C50 at considerable discounts off MSRP. Maybe your dealer thinks he's selling Harleys?

| I had the same problem, but tried dealers in all areas with in 60 miles of my home. Tell the area you live in and maybe some one from there will give give you a place to check.

I called to get the best price and then I found out that several dealers will beat their competition,, so I went down the line calling to get the best price,, telling them I got this quoted at such and such place,, they beat it, then I called the next dealer and told them the last price I got,, they beat it,, then I called the next,, and so on and so on. If you have several dealers try that method,, it worked quite well for me,, of course the bike I was going to get was the C50T,, but after I rode it and then the dealer told me for five hundred more he'd let me have a 1500,,, well you see what I have now. Go buy a copy of "Cruiser" magazine,, this months edition (well the one on the newstand) has a good comparison of the M50, C50, and the C50T,,,there is also a C50 special edition as well,, you might want to check it out. They are claiming about $6799.00 MSRP on the C50,,, but that is negotiable. Get on line and check out Oneida Suzuki,, and "Wow" motorcycles,,, call different states and see what they are selling for. I would imagine if you have several quotes from other dealers within a three hour drive then they may be willing to work with you. Good Luck and Welcome to the forum,, hope this helps some!!!!

| I am have just put the down payment on a C50 Limited. How do you like yours Big Iron? I've been able to find startling little information on-line about this bike. Suzuki doesn't even show it on their web site, so I was beginning to wonder if I was just having the wool pulled over my eyes. This is a great looking bike!

| Refrigerator Magnet Test Engineer ![]() | I got stuck with the list price too. They can't keep them on the floor around here. I was at 3 local stealers and I had to wait at 2. I bought at the third. They had one one the floor and one in the box. I got the one in the box. Two days later, I went to give them the insurance info and the one on the floor was gone. They then got one from a dealer in Missouri that wasn't paying their bills and aggressive negotiation with help from Suzuki. That bike lasted 8 days on the floor.
