Default Calling all Wrench Heads

I love my C50, however this the first bike Ive owned with out a center stand and I miss that. I do a lot of my own maintenance. I would feel very uncomfortable working on this beauty's underside while it is on the kick stand leaning about 30 or so degrees maybe it's just me I found on the net today that Sear's has their MC/ATV, lawn equiptment etc. Jack/Lift on sale for 69.99. I now have one, sale ends 6/12 here's the link
Sear's Jack

Price came up as 79.99 in store until someone checked the web site.

My previous ride was a 84 Moto Guzzi, the kick stand was a complete joke it would fall over if you walk by real fast You only used it to dismount ,then you immediatly put it up on the center stand see Pic but I did love that bike !

I bought the Sears bike jack for 69.00. I am a member of the Craftsman Club. I usually ge another $10 or so or maybe 10% off the sale prices. It doesn't cost anything. Plus I usually get a flyer a week before the actual sale.

Yes that is a good jack and as was said it goes on sale often enough to get a 10% discout. Well worth it.

Incidently Suzuki offers a bolt on center stand for your bike I believe

I got that jack too. My Marauder is so low to the ground I had to take the front wheels off the jack to get it to fit under my bike.

I bought a jack from Schucks Auto on sale and thought it was a steal at $49.95, but G.I. Joes had the same jack at the same price. I have to leave my S50 on the stand and gently roll the stand under the bike and at the same time slowly lean the bike toward the jack and then start jacking up the jack. It's not as hard as it might sound after you do it a few times. It's great to get the bike level and stable and I can roll it around if I need to. I have straps that I can secure the bike to the jack with if I need to jack it up fairly high in the air. It works great!
That Guzzi is a nice looking bike. The company makes a lot of different models.

I had the same problem. I roll the front tire up on a short 2 x 6 and put a short 2 x 4 under the side stand. This elevates the frame enough for the jack to roll under it OK. Depending on your bike, you might need to double them, but I like being able to move the bike around after it is elevated.

The jack just barely slides under mine when it sits straight up.
