|  Hi everyone... I'm new to Suzuki and this forum!!
Greetings from Michigan!!! I am new to Zukes, and just bought a '03 Marauder 800... It was love at first sight!! It is perfect for my height (I'm 5'3") and looks really cool... This is actually my first cruiser... I am usually into sport bikes, but my father died about 2 weeks ago, and I wanted to buy something in his honor, cause I'm riding for him now... He NEVER would have ridden a sport bike... Anyway, I found this forum and you guys seem to know all things Zuk!!! Sorry to have been so long winded, but there IS a concern that I have about my Marauder... When I start it, it starts fine and idles fine, but when I put it into gear, it acts like it wants to die. When I stop at a light or sign, It starts to sputter a little and when I take off from a stand-still, it LAUNCHES!!! (That's probably more me than the bike, as I'm trying to keep it running..) I have heard that Zukes like to be warmed up more than other bikes; could this be the reason that it runs ugly first thing in the morning? I run ugly, too first thing in the morning, until I get my 3rd cup of coffee, but I don't think my bike would like coffee too much... Also, it's a '03 Marauder 800 with about 2100 miles on it and it looks impeccable!! I paid $4,500 for it... Was that a good price or did I get ripped off? There's nothing I can do about it now, but just for future reference... This MUST be the longest first post that you guys have EVER seen am I right? You guys probably know that I'm female, cause only a woman could talk this much when they first meet someone!!! I appreciate all posts |
