|  First time on Freeway and at Night
There I did it, just the day after I passed my M1 riding test. Shortly after 6 PM this evening, I hopped on my dinky little GZ250 and got on the freeway for the first time. I rode on the 60 Freeway from Azusa Ave to Little Tokyo for a dinner and then back. On my way back, it was already dark and so it was a night-time freeway ride, something I leaglly could not have done with just a permit. What really amazed the hell out of me was that my little GZ was able to push upwards to 65 mph, although the piston was working very hard. I was doing about 60-65 the entire trip to-and-back. It was very interesting, although it was a bit unnerving when I hit 65 for the first time, as there were a lot of air turbulence from the other vehicles, and road vibration passing up through the front suspension. The return trip was much better than the outbound trip. |
