| Just reading the boards the past couple of weeks and I greatly appreciate all the advise everyone is giving, have helped me get a firm starting place on what price to pay for a new bike. Anyway, I'm thinking about getting the M50 after a long time away from riding and I have gotten one low quote or $7K OTD (TN has 9.25% Tax) and 10% off any accessories that I buy. I then was able to get two other dealers to match the price but no one is willing to go any lower. The MSRP is $6750, which seems to be what a lot of people are saying that should be the OTD price. I offered to buy the bike and about $690 of riding gear for $7500 OTD and they said no, I'm I being unreasonable or should I just wait them out. Is the high sales tax going to mean I should expect to pay a bit more than MSRP? |

| MSRP plus your local tax rate = $7374.38. I would guess that $7k might not be a bad deal. You're buying a brand new bike, depreciation is going to tear you a new one in the first couple years anyway, why quibble over a couple hundred bucks? |

| i bought my M50 the DAY AFTER it hit dealers....i got it for 6750 OTD. now that it is 2.5 months old, should be able to do same. ALTHOUGH, there was some manufacturer (Suzuki) incentive to dealers to sell within the month of Feb (i got mine the last sat of the month)..and i confirmed this with other dealers even after i bought mine. sooo... still dont pay more than MSRP unless you really wnat the bike...i mean it is only a couple hundred spread out over a financing period you dont even feel it good choice of bikes no matter what!

| I will p/u my black M50 this week for $6900 OTD. The cheapest was Honda East out of Ohio. $6600 OTD but I would have had to drive 200 miles to pick it up, uncrate it, and go to AAA to pay all the fees. I went local for the service and accessory discounts.

| From what I have seen it looks like $6100 - $6300 plus tax etc.. is about right. This place lists them pretty cheap + $65 for paperwork; http://www.procycleusa.com/index.cfm...d=1&baseid=460

| I paid $7100 OTD for my blue (which I think is $100msrp more than black) M50 that inc. a backrest (almost $400), a $125 helmet and all taxes. I thought that was a pretty good deal but I couldn't negotiate too much since there were only two M50's within a 60 mile radius of me and only one blue one which is what I wanted. |

| Bought on Saturday, $7000 OTD and got them to thrown in a helmet ($160) so I got close to MSRP OTD. Unfortunately I have to do a lot of traveling through the end of the month so I may not be able to pick up the bike until the 1st of May. BTW Got it in Black! |

| May 2007 Member of the month ![]() | You could go and do a dealer search on the Suxuki web site. I see you are in Chattanooga area,, there are a bunch of dealers here in the Atlanta area. I actually had a really good quote from a dealership off GA 400 on the C50T,, which that dealer is about forty five minutes to an hour north of Atlanta. If you call around maybe you can find one cheaper in Georgia and just pay the tax in Tennessee when you go to register it in Tennessee. Just an idea.
