Default Repair Time At Dealer

Had to drop off my new C50 at the dealer last Saturday morning. It sounded like the bike had a spark knock, with the engine seemingly knocking as you rolled the throttle at about 2500 RPMs and put some stress on the engine (see http://www.suzuki-bikes.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6706). The service tech at the dealer thinks it's NOT the engine and that the natural harmonic vibration of the engine is causing something near/on the engine to rattle. Anyway...to my questions. It is now Friday. I called the dealer Tuesday and Yesterday and all the service guy has been able to do is confirm that they hear the noise, but they don't know where it's coming from and they don't think it's the engine.

This is my first motorcycle and I don't know how long these things take. I am very mechanically inclined and service all of my family's cars myself, so I don't have any idea how long this should take...but this seems ridiculous! If the bike were my primary transportation, I would be really pissed. But it's not and the dealer knows that. So...The question is...how long is too long?????
