| I am replacing my MAXXIS WWW tires on my Suzuki LC1500. Want to go with the Dunlop D404 WWW (150/80-16) for front and K-555 WWW(170/80-15) rear. The orginal OEM rear size was 180/70-15. Is this a problem going from the 180/70-15 to the 170/80-15? Thanks for any info. Gary |

| Gary, Sorry, I saw your question in the thread about my tires before I saw this one. I love the new tires I put on (the same Dunlops you are considering). Before I had these mounted up I talked to the salesman about it and the dealership service manager. They both said this was a common substitution and they have not had any problems doing it. I would concur, having put a couple hundred miles on my set, on some twisty country roads.

| Mr. W. Thanks for the tire update. Everytime I talk to a tire supplier, they play stupid. Lots of "Uuuhhhhhhh, I don't know, I just sell tires, I don't use them..." Wanted Dunlops two years ago but couldn't get the rear tire, Dunlop dropped the ball, didn't make enough. Put on MAXXIS and the guy said, "They are going to ride rough." Yep, they do... Thanks for your info. Gary |

The Dunlops will create a more positive corner feel as the Metzeler ME880's like to do the leaning for you and that can be a struggle at times. Wet weather traction should be better with the Dunlops also. In my experience.

They handle great, just make sure you go into a secluded parking lot and do some slow speed tight turns to get those sidewalls sufficiently scuffed and a short gravel road is always a good addition to knew tires. Do this and the 100 mile recommendation is unnecessary. Enjoy!
