Looking for a first bike. I am planning on taking the MSF in the spring as soon as they open up before I purchase any bike. I was originaly looking for a sport type and did not intend on going any bigger than a 500cc, and that depends on how I do in the class. I'm keeping my options open and have also been looking at cruisers. What would be the biggest that I would want to go with in that style. I have looked at a lot of specs on up to 800cc cruisers and the power ratings are generally lower than a 500cc sport bike, but the weight is considerably more. Some are around 500 pounds as opposed to 300 for the sports. Can you give me some guide lines to look at? I guess I could have saved a lot of time and just asked what would be the cruiser equivilant to a 500 cc sport bike? Thanks for any help.
