Wow... I'm sorry to hear that. I can't believe that people would take off like that.

That is one of my biggest fears as a rider; being knocked off the bike & left for dead. I believe more folks than you think would drive off if they knew/thought they could get away clean and continue on with their unencumbered lives, rather than facing everything that crashes involve. (citations, charges, increased insurance premiums, etc)

NoRegrets78 - Sorry to hear about your crash & glad you're on the mend. Take care!

people are crap for the most part, there are good ones but way more lousy ones out there than good ones.

no regrets, sorry to hear about that and hope your doing ok and i wish you, your family and your friends the best. don't really know what else to say.

i cant blame you if you never get on a bike again. I hope you find something else you enjoy just as much.

Sorry to hear about your accident. My father was hit 20 yrs ago and the driver left the scene. Luckly a tow truck driver followed the car and towed it back with the passengers in it and they ratted out the driver. They said my father would never work again but 11 months later he returned to work. Keep your spirits up anything is possible.

As a new rider, I am also worried that this kind of stuff may happen! I always have to remind myself to be extra careful and cautious around intersections/cross streets precisely for this reason. I love to hall arsse, but try to do it ONLY when I have a straight shot, with no cross streets in sight... & yet, I feel myself getting braver and braver by the day... your post is a good reminder!

I am sorry to hear you're done riding.... I wish you the best, and a quick recovery!
