Default compare bikes for a newbe

Hi all - I am new to bikeing. In fact I take my test in two weeks. I am torn between the Suzuki Boulevard C50 and the Honda 750 Aero. Which do you think is the better bike? Enjoy the Forum and will continue to watch it. Thanks for any help.

Uh....you DO know what website this is, right?

I own a C50. It's a great bike, and a blast to navigate. The Aero has really nice styling, and the hydraulic valves to remove some of the maintenance fuss--but after having the same two bikes as my final candidates to purchase, I depended on reviews that consistantly ranked the Volusia/C50 at the top of the class.

The stability, the power, the good looks, and yet beginner-friendly...what's not to like about the Boulie?

C50, always outshines other bikes in it's class, check out every magazine for the last five years and Honda is not even close. A close second best would be the Kawasaki.

The C50 with FI and floorboards !

Come on Honda makes good bikes but this contest isn't even close.

Default Which Bike

I drove a friends Honda,, and he drove mine. After the ride, the Honda owner said he wished he had looked at the C50 before buying his Honda. He claimed it was better handling and more stable,, plus a bit more powerful...

I'm pretty sure the Honda is a chain drive bike versus a shaft drive of the C50. In my opinion, I'd not have a chain drive bike due to the additional maintenance. Plus, I've read numerous complaints on a Honda forum about how after 4-5000 miles, there is no longer any adjustment room for the chain and you are forced to shorten the chain or change sprokets.

As I have said a few times before... the C50 rocks

In fact, its so d@mn good, my wife (who otherwise has turned a blind eye to any bike I've owned and until today barely ackowledged thay I bought a C50) gave me a new leather Boulevard keyfob this evening when I got back to town from a 3 day business trip.

Default C-50 or Honda Aero

I started out looking at both. After reading evrything I could find on either bike I found a clear patern. The C-50 is so far out front there is no comparison between the two bikes. If you get the C-50 (Volusia) you won't be sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No 'mater throwin'.. the Marauder/M50 is just another expression of the Volusia/C50 - sort of like fraternal twins.

Well not quite, still a good bike but not a refendedred C50. You'll save some bucks though .

The M50 is not the same bike as the Marauder 800. The M50 is based on the C50 and weighs a lot more than the Marauder (540 pounds for the M50 versus a slim 456 pounds for the Marauder).

Both cool bikes, but different bikes. The M50/C50 common platform should simplify production for Suzuki.
