A mesh jacket would work great. I have one from Powertrip with armor in it that is very comfortable in the heat. Lots of manufacturers make mesh jackets. Joe Rocket is popular.

May I just respectfully say.

Die southern scum !

Just kidding barely, I froze my cajones off yesterday riding at 35 degrees F. Should have geared up better I guess but it didn't seem that bad until I hit about 60 mph.

When it gets REALLY chilly out, <50-60 degrees, I wear a leather jacket. Above 60 or so I wear a textile mesh armored jacket. This is in southern AZ so the leather does not come out often.

Oh, even during our warm 105 degree summer I wear an HJC full face helmet but when it gets chilly I add a bandana wrapped around my neck to keep the wind off my next and chin.

Default Warm/Hot weather riding

Living in southern Florida,, it is warm to hot most of the time. I wear a Cortech mesh jacket. Bought mine at the dealer,, so I paid top $ for it. Though if I would have ordered one on-line,, I would have gotten it for less, but would have chosen the wrong size. Try one on before ordering on-line. I would normally take a Large,, but when trying it on,, was way to small. Needed an X-Large.

Wear a smile!!! Around here (new England) we are wearing a frozen determined look on our face . We are determined to get as much riding in as possible until the F*(@#%@#* snow arrives.

Same as the other semi-tropical climate folks... mesh textile with CE Knox armor. Has been comfortable for me well over 90F. Between 60 and 70, I may add polartec vest underneat the jacket. Below 60, out comes the leather.

And it does snow here. Occassionally. Maybe every other year. If you count flurries with no accumulation. Last significant accumulation was... um.... 1993.

As a Texan, gotta echo the mesh jacket with armor. I also wear a full face helmet, and I actually stay cooler than with a regular helmet. That's because I have great vents. With those open, I can feel the top of my head cooling off as soon as I start moving.
