As I mentioned in another thread, I am converting my M50 turn signals to clear lenses with Amber LED clusters, and need some info. I bought a pair of clusters from Chrome Glow for $12 ea, but they are a bit too big for the hole in the chrome reflector portion of the lens. They told me that these are made in China, but that their $24 ea clusters are made in America, and that they will fit. I was thinking of trying to dremel out the hole in the reflector of one of my spare amber lenses, but then one of the $12.00 ones just came apart, so they are out. Another member mentioned this company named SuperBrightLEDs.COM for flashers but they also have what looks to be pretty good clusters, and for a descent price. They have 19 led 1156, and 1157 clusters that measure 1.01" dia for $700 each. They also have 24 led versions for 7.50 each, and 30 led versions for $9.00 each, that both measure 1.02" dia, although I believe these will be a bit to large to fit the reflector. I will have to wait till I get to work on monday and measure the reflector openings to see. The 30 led version have a layr that shine backords onto the reflector for more light output. Also, they have narrow and wide beam versions. Which would be best? Does anyone out there have any experience with this company and their products? I would like to buy their led clusters, as well as a flash, but they seem very inexpensive. |
