It was cool in the North Georgia mountains. I had just finished breakfast and drove my RV back to the cycle shop. After looking at a black and a silver V Star I asked, "I thought these came in more than 2 colors." I expected to get a sigh and told, "I'm sorry this is all we have." The general manager looked at me and said, "Well, this is all we have..... on the floor. I have one up stairs that isn't ready that is red." I was a bit disappointed until he said, "Let me take you on a tour of our shop and you can see what the other one looks like." We did a tour of the shop but I wasn't really paying attention. We walk up a two flights of stairs to the top of the shop. Then he opened the door and warned me that the bike was dirty and hadn't been cleaned up. The doors opened and I thought I heard choir music. There it sat, my new baby! Before I had a chance to think I shouted, "That's it! I want that one!" I don't know if it was because I finally found what I have wanted for so long or if it was a fact but, every woman in that place seemed so much more attractive than before. I didn't judge the guys. :0) As I did the paperwork they cleaned the bike up. When I went outside they had it staged on a checkered board part of the parking lot under a tent. The sun hit it in just the right spot and it winked at me. I ran out, mounted her, and my butt has never felt something so comfortable and welcoming. I can't wait for the weather to clear. I'm going to ride her until she runs out of gas and then I'll ride her some more. ![]() This is the color and tourer package I have. I don't have the lights or rear backage holder. Yet.... |
