and with a c90, I reckon you won't be looking again for quite some time.

the m/c 50 group love their bike; then they decide they need more power.

Can't say as I have ever done that.

I "fell in love with" every bike I have ever owned......probably about 30 by now.

I presently have a crush on a Honda VT800C Shadow.
We'll see how that works out in a couple of days.

It's kinda like women; there have been a couple that I REALLY wanted but knew I couldn't have. The first few years of the Kaw 900 Eliminator; one of the fastest bikes of it's time; HUGE engine and two wheels, you didn't notice much else. Then there is the current V-max. I'd love to ride it.......just once.

Yes, but I'm thinking about going for my Masters. I just hate owing money back to people I've never met.

I assume you have seen it in person. I did today and the picture doesn't do it justice. Fine looking bike! I must admit, however, that the top pipe sticking WAY out the back looks a little........strange !?!?
Wonder why the did that ??

begging your pardon, but will getting your masters actually benefit you, or just the college you are dumping the large quantities of money for the "opportunity" of said degree.

I have to say this, because a cousin of mine got her masters to teach music at a highschool (WI standards are absolutely insane, for the amount of education you need to have to teach, but some other time).

and now, same said cousin is "doing okay" but that's because of

a) teacher's pension
b) teacher's retirement health benefits.

other than that, she had paid quite dearly for what she has.

but, "should you accept this assignment."

good for you, glad to know at least one person that I am not related to go onto much higher education.

Well, I'm still thinking about it. It's not a "for sure" yet.

It will add 11,000 dollars to my already high loan amount I'm paying off now.

you can finish your masters degree for 11k?

around these parts, you don't much get out of the parking lot (masters field) for 7 k, let alone graduate.

but that all said, you need to consider several things

1) the "tall" amount of your current student loan
2) the "possible" additional income of the masters degree...
2a) how much more can you earn
2b) how much more will you need to work to earn extry dough.
2c) will the extry education allow you to become head of a(n) branch of some educational facility
and last but not least
2d) citigroup stock is really cheap, i bet you could double your money there in about 3 years.

Well - at least from the standpoint that I think it will be the one I end up with. I've ridden the Vstar 950 and Vulcan 900 Custom. Both solid, but didn't quite fit me physically. Of the 2 I would have to do less to the 950 to make it more ergonomically correct for me.

M50 feels pretty good, and it's a little lighter. I'm waiting until I get closer to my savings goal before seeking a test drive.

A dealership had the BW one for a while and it really caught my eye. I really love two tones, and I'm especially found of white bikes for some reason, so this was practically the best of both worlds. However, the coloring does make me think of two things for some reason:
1. Tuxedo
2. Cruella Deville

Either of which would be pretty funny license tag.

I know I could pick up any used one for much less, have it painted and still come out ahead. (I've considered doing a mild Va Tech scheme) But in case I decide not to go that route, I'd kind of like to love it right out of the gate.

Also as far as buying new - I'm a person who tends to keep things a loooong time (I had my first car for 13 years - didn't really want to sell it, but both our cars were 13 years old, and hubby thought his acura was more reliable at that point and we should get something new before they both died). And given that there seem to only be a few bikes that feel like they "fit" me, I'll probably have my next bike (just my 2nd) for a long, long time.

Maybe but probably not.

I have two cars approaching 10 years old. I had a 35 year old truck....until it dropped a rod.

For a LOT of people, it doesn't work the same for bikes. I thought the last one I had was "the last". It only lasted 2 years !!!

I don't have a Masters yet! So we are pretty equal still, trick. And I think messing around with people's DNA is great! I loved Biology and the genes unit. I kicked butt with it.

sounds like it's time to find another engine for the truck.

saw a 2007 Honda 919 - but as it uses the engine as part of the frame - there is no place to put the highway pegs.

I also think the price was around $6800, which is pretty cheap compared to new (I want to say about $9400).
