Default Easy Brackets...

Ok for my 2000th post...
a short account of putting easy brackets on Frank's VTX. I bought him some beautiful leather Chillhowee saddlebags and the brackets and put em on for him.. ... he likes to let me wrench.
PROS...
easy on/off for sure...
great quality hardware...
perfect fit on VTX with cobra sissy bar....

CONS....
with the post and the bracket the bag is like 3 inches off the fender at the back... looks OK but it does look a bit wide set.
you cannot fully unlock them unless off the bike. lock arm hits the bag and stops. You 'half unlock' and must leave the key in to take them off bike.
If you follow the guide you end up with inch long bolts inside the bag in 4 places... DUH. I reversed them....at least now they wont snag stuff inside.

Pix next time it stops raining...

They do stick off quite a bit but the usefulness well outweighs the ugliness. I really like them.
Please excuse the dust and dirt I just got off a ride when these were taken.
