|  Ignition problem on a GS550 Hey guys... I have a problem with my gs550... The ignition does not start with a 12v 10 amp battary for the bike. However when connected with a car battary, it starts up... Any advise on this... I have purchased a new battary... but stil no progress... Please help !!! |

Did you charge the new battery before you installed it ?? Many new batteries require a charge as they are pretty much dead when new. A 10 amp/hour battery would require roughly a 1 amp charge for 10 hours.

| Thanks for the suggestion... The battary was charged for a reasonable time... Though im not sure it was 10 hrs... Ill try it again... Cash... Just reconfirming... if I jomp the MC with the Car started... it will screw up the MC charging system... I guess ill check the system as well... maybe that is the culprit. |
