| New member, great to be here. I have an 08 C50 and was interested in the dj drive conversion. Does anyone have a link for it, or can give advise for easier installation would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you in advance. bigfishhook |

| I can only assume you mean the DV belt drive conversion. This mod was developed to convert the 1990s-era Vulcan 800s from the original chain and sprockets to a belt and pullies. This mod can also be done to other chain drive bikes, like the first generation Marauder and many Triumphs. This mod is not available for your C50, which is shaft drive. converting you C50 to a belt drive, while not strictly impossible, is outside the realm of 'realistic'.

| VolusiaRiders.com :: Home In the section called the garage is a thread called; Motors, transmissions and Drives. It appears the DJ conversion is using a C90 drive on a C50. There appears to be several threads on it. Hope that helps. |

| I could not access his website yesterday, but what I understand there is a long waiting period of this part. I think the part is almost $500, and requires you to do some minor drilling to install the shaft. Several people posted that is easy to instal and it is a very noticable imporvement. I plan on getting a shaft next year or so unless Santa brings me one. LOL

| ah, my bad- I am familiar with that mod but not with the "dj mod" name for it. Yes, the final drive from a vl1500 can be fitted to the vl800 without too much difficulty, trading some acceleration for lower RPMs and making the smaller bike less 'busy' on the highway.
