Default where is your bike in the off season

Just wondering where your bike is kept when you can't ride.
In Chicago that would be the period from Nov thru March.

Do you keep it in your garage, or do you pay to have it stored at a bike
shop. I know that If I let the bike shop store it ( for a fee of course),
it will be taken care of (Maint. wise ) and ready for riding in april.

Default off season???

No off season here, at the most there may be a few days in a row where conditions are too bad to ride!
I can't believe aneone would choose to live where they couldn't ride year around.

Some are born is cold areas and others are anchored by family!!

Kentucky has probably the truest four seasons! I ride almost year round. I choose not to ride in rain (unless I have to!), snow, and ice. The rest of the time I'm rockin'!

No real off season for Middle Georgia either. We do get some cold days in the winter but we also get alot of sushine and mild weather that's good for riding if you bundle up good.

When I used to live north of Detroit you had to store the boat & bike in the garage for nearly 6 months. If you don't have a garage you had to pay a storage facility (which sucks). I don't miss living up there.

If you have a garage put it in there, take out the battery and put it in the house. If you have a mc jack, lift it up off of the ground. Put some stabil in the gas and fill up the tank. Put a cover on it and wait until spring. Change the oil before you ride and put the battery back in. Also I've put a light coating of oil on the bars and any thing that i thought would rust.

My house has an underground garage. My bike is parked there, with the battery removed, the tank full (with a shot of gas stabilizer), covered with a tarp.

No off season here in Arizona. If there were, it would probably be during the hot months which are June through September lol. But I ride year round rain or shine.

I ride year round here in GA too. However, my parents live in Northern Illinois, so they get crappy winters. My dad will ride unless there's snow or ice on the ground, if it gets bad the bike sits in the back of the garage on the center stand with some stabilizer in the gas and a trickle charger on the battery.

i put mine in the shed 10 by 20 i took 8 feet and sectioned it off insulated the walls and put in a little ceramic heater. keeps it about 55 degrees. as for stabil in the gas i dont do it. im in and out all winter so i start it and let it run as i do with all gas tools and toys. this is the first wintewr with the new bike but i will do it the same..ride all year unless theres snow or ice. i work in a freezer warhouse.its always 10 below zero so dress warm and ride.............

I pay for storage a my dealers. I have a maintenance contract from the dealer that includes winterization and prep in the spring. Plus, I really have a had time getting a minivan, small SUV, and a motorcycle in my garage so it turns out being the most convenient to just get rid of the bike for the winter.

Michigan definetly has an off-season, for me anyway. Wash it, fill it up with gas and oil, yeah fill up the oil to the filler level, add stabil to the gas, lubricate levers, shifters and such, connect battery tender, cover with a couple sheets, and don't touch it for 3 months or so.

My off season is one week {unless there is Ice} a month. So I just cover the bike.

I guess TN does not have an off season either. Winters are mild enough you can still get out once or twice a month.

When you store your battery do not put it on concrete.

I am right outside of Chicago but I havent been through an offseason yet...
However, my buddies all ride in the winter when weather permits, otherwise they just start em up and roll the wheels around. I'll more than likely end up doing much of the same.

This will buck the stereotype about Canada.....

Bike is on the road in the off season.

No off season - rode all 12 months.

Just not as long or often in winter

I've just recently obtained a heated jacket, so i hope my off season will be shorter this year.
