I'm sorry but I got a good laugh out of this!
Riders and their bikes can be WORSE than a mother with her first baby!!

The best probably is a "waterproof" lithium based but anything except fiber wheel bearing grease will do just fine.

Not sure what's funny about that, but Intruder007 the lithium grease should work, you might also try a graphite lube. (the grease will likely be better)

Geoff has greased a few levers in his time. He knows what he's talking about.

Of course you know we are speaking strictly about motorcycle parts, right?

BTW, Ranger, you'll want to use some Lava or other more heavy-duty soap to get that grease off.

It's a bit humorous because, even if he never greased his levers, they'd still outlast the engine, suspension, frame, and rider.

OK fine, if we are talking strictly motorcycle parts then you use the grease thats slippery and prevents metal on metal contact. Put it in the pivot point and that should do it, and make sure you move the lever a few times while putting in the grease so the entire pivot point gets some grease and that should do it

I dont know about using the heavy duty soap-its gritty and not feel to good

Plus the fact that if it was desirable to use a specific grease for some reason, it would have said that. Absent a recommendation, grease is grease.
