Anyones thoughts or opinions on these Cruisers

I have it narrowed down to these 4, I intend to try all 4 out bit I was wondering if anyone has a opinion ( good or bad about these bikes ).

Or is there a obvious choice between the 4 that I don't know.

YAMAHA Vstar 650
SUZUKI M50
SUZUKI C50
HONDA V75O

c50/m50 are essentially the same bike, fuel injected, shaft driven, liquid cooled.

the vstar is carbed i think, shaft and air cooled.

the honda 750 is carbed, chain driven and liquid cooled

all the bikes are not lemons but they all have their ups and downs

The obvious choice is the one that you feel most comfortable on...

Having road on, or with, each of these bikes, my honest opinion is that all four bikes are great machines but if you spend anytime on the freeway, go with the 750cc or 800cc. The Yamaha is a fine bike but 75 and 80 mph it's going to be operating in the upper percentage of it's HP range and that does limit the life of any machine. The other bikes will be running hard as well, but slightly less so.

M-50 and C-50 are the basically the same. C-50 rides a bit smother and the M-50 handle a bit better. Other then that it comes down to the look your going for between them.

A C50T or a C50SE is the best choice if you have a friend ride 2up with you.

the main reason i took the m50 over other bikes is for these reasons
comfort -- seemed comfortable
fitting -- fit like a glove
was 800c vtwin
was liquid cooled
was shaft driven
looks.

it called out to me.

Yamaha V-Star 650

Suzuki M50

Suzuki C50

Honda Shadow 750

I don't know why, but I like the Suzuki M50 the best.

One thing I really like about the M is the tubeless tires. For me, that is a big plus.

That's a Shadow Aero. There's also a Spirit.

The C50 is my first bike and in the past two summers I have over 9400 miles on it. I like the way it handles and it feels. I wouldn't mind a little louder pipes...but when I'm cruising down the road, I hear the wind and my husband's pipes ahead of me.

That's what is the most important. May I suggest looking at the Kawasaki 900? It might be the one?

On the other hand, my wife and I ride C50s and we're satisfied with our bikes.

Good luck!

was told by the old man that the aero, even though not the most powerful, is a comfy ride with stock everything

My friends say you can't kill a Honda, and that was true of the two I had as well. They sat in snow, battery in, never charged, started up every time. Awesome.

My preference nowadays is lightweight and lots of pickup so I now have an Intruder - oops, Boulevard S50.

I just started riding and I am a big guy, 6-2 265, so I wanted something I would not have to trade out for a while. I looked at the M-50, C-50, Honda 750 and the Kawasaki 900.

The Yamaha 650 I thought would be too small, so I didn't consider it.

The Honda was uncomfortable to spend any time on. I felt very cramped.

The Kaw 900 was a $1000 more and the dealer did not have the model I was interested in. It was OK in the comfort area.

The C-50 was alright for comfort, but I did not like the looks of the bike (the fenders, I guess I'm not a classic fan).

The M-50 seemed like I had more room and I liked the looks, and thats what I chose. At first I thought that I made a mistake and should have gotten a less powerful bike. But with 2000 mile under my belt, any problems I have are due to driver error not the bikes. Now, I am very happy with my choice. The M-50 does everything I need it to do. I see no reason to trade up.

I know these are just my personal opinions and observations, but I hope it will help you.
