| 176 miles is about the extent of the fuel on my C50. At that mileage going up a slight incline the engine started to sputter, I made it to a gas station that was close by. When the fuel warning lamp comes on and stays on you have 25 or so miles before you run out of gas. I was riding in western Maryland's mountainous area and that propably affected fuel mileage to some degree. I wanted to see how far it would go and my nearly running out of gas was planed. No,,, I wasn't alone and had help in case I needed it. Food for thought.

| How many gallons did you fill with after? When my Bike died at the pumps, it took 15 liters and was at 295 kms. Thats 183 miles and 1/2 a liter less than a full tank. I am running a K&N air cleaner with Techclusion FI and stock pipes. I am a little heavy on the throttle and know that others get better mileage. My C50SE is an 05 with 22,000 miles on the clock. |

| The problem you're experiencing is a direct result of you being a Habs fan. Should you have been any other kind of fan....it would be much higher

| My average varies between 19.8 to 20.4 km per liter which works out to around 50 MPG US. As I said I am a little heavy on the throttle and you should be getting better. How many miles on your Bike and are you stock. Using a single tank average is not a good estimate. Sometimes I do not fill my tank to the max, other times I get the max out of a refill. I set my trip every fill and expect to get around 80 kms after the light comes on. The key is to error on the safe side, so I fill around the 250 km mark. I have seen some here say they get in the 60 MPG US range, And if I was 50 lbs lighter that may make a diff.!!! |

| I have a 2 in 1 Roadhouse exhaust and Fi2000 fuel management, other than that it's pretty much stock. The bike has 7700 miles. 60 MPG, that would be great but I doubt the the C50 can get that kind of MPG. Perhaps my fuel management needs tweaked a little. Quote:

| If that's the case then you do about 60 MPG. The light on mine starts to blink at about 135 miles then stays on at about 150 miles. I'm open to suggestion on how to improve MPG on my bike. Last edited by otdriver; 08-18-2008 at 07:57 PM. |

| MJ Is there a reason for not changing the Air Cleaner?? Perhaps we are both heavy on the throttle. Elvis, the 60 MPG US is better than 60 MPG Imperial. I am at 20.4 km per liter, 55 MPG Imperial. I am a little heavier than you plus I have saddlebags and windscreen. |

| Mr Blinky comes to visit me at around 125-130 miles. I normally fill up around 150-160 and can fit about 3.2 gallons in the tank. So my average is around 47-49MPG for a mix of city and highway driving (to work and back). I am stock except for a windshield and soft saddlebags. I use Shell regular gas with Mobil 1 Racing 4T synthetic. G |
